Shoot up to 330 fps with the full 17 stops of dynamic range, or up to 660 fps in Sensor Overdrive mode, which runs at 11 stops and EI 1600. In practice, your A camera also covers your high-speed shots, so you don’t need a separate slow-motion body and the footage matches in post.
The camera also introduces ARRICORE, a new codec that lowers data rates while leaving sensitivity, white balance, and tint adjustable in post. ARRIRAW and Apple ProRes are still available. Other upgrades include 5x longer pre-record, about 10% lower power draw, and improved Wi-Fi. It uses the same body and connectors as the ALEXA 35, so all existing accessories work with it.
